Hospedium Hotel Los Lanceros Reviews
“Rating: ★★☆☆☆ (2/5) I recently stayed two nights at Hotel Los Lanceros in El Escorial, and while there are a few positives, this establishment falls far short of the 4-star standard it claims. The Positives: • The location is truly excellent. Just a short walk to the Monastery of San Lorenzo, restaurants, shops, and cafes. It is well-situated for anyone exploring the town. • The hotel staff were respectful, helpful, and accommodating throughout my stay. The Negatives: • This is not a 4-star hotel by international standards. At best, it would qualify as a 2-star property. • The building appears to have been last renovated in the early 1990s and has not been properly updated since. Everything from the elevators to the hallway carpeting, furniture, and doors shows clear signs of wear and aging. • I encountered serious issues with the air conditioning. My first room left me waking up drenched in sweat at 3:00 a.m. due to AC failure. I was told it would be fixed, but by the second night, it still had not been resolved. At midnight, I had to be moved to a second room. While the AC in the new room worked better, it was still centrally managed with a fixed minimum of 27°C, which is far too warm, especially in summer. • Even in public areas like the restaurant, air conditioning was insufficient, making breakfast and indoor stays uncomfortable in the summer heat. • The carpets throughout the hallways are worn, faded, and stained, with visible patches where repairs or replacem”
