“A very comfortable stay - thank goodness for such efficient air conditioning in the room. Why do hotels use those horrible coffee machines? Italy has such great coffee when made properly.”

“You gotta have a car to get around, although there are some buslines and ferrylines to take you around (didn't try those). Room was pretty small, bathroom nice and roomy. The pool was ok, not too big or warm, but it was there.”

“Cannot say enough good things about this hotel. Good location if you want to be away from the town centre. Free parking. Warm welcome on arrival and excellent service all round. Breakfast simple but nice, and more than adequate. Rooms very well maintained during our stay and bathroom kept very clean. Lake can be seen from balcony albeit through the trees. Free bikes for hotel guests which is brilliant and we used every day - 2 mins to lake and 10 mins to Sirmione. Very handy supermarket next door to hotel. Overall a great experience and would definitely go back there.”

“We were not expecting much from this hotel before arriving as all we wanted was a base to discover the lake area. The room we were given had a horrible smell in it although everything looked good and clean. There were no other rooms available and the manager on duty got it very hard to acknowledge there was a problem. On the plus side the breakfast did set us up for the day ;)”

“Hotel is nice and staff extremely friendly and helpful. One disappoint is that there is no transport to and from the airport at Brescia. Hotel is only 15 minute drive away from this airport, but yet it cost 50Euros to get a taxi there. Hotel is approx 3kms from the Old town but very easy to get to on the hotel bikes.”

“The hotel was extremely nice and clean, but the location let it down. On the map, it seems very close to Sirmione's Old Town. It actually took us an hour to walk there, and there were hardly any bars or restaurants near Hotel Arena. I would only recomment Hotel Arena if you are looking for a very quiet holiday”

“This hotel was very new and well maintained. It is deffiently comfortable and the maids are efficent. The pool area is really good and private but not as large as it may appear and a little cold at times ( the lake is warmer to swim in!!)
ONE IMPORTANT POINT:
I had not correctly estimated the size of sirmione and the position of the hotel. The hotel is a fair way from the main town/castle etc. at least a 40min walk. Be warned! this is not a massive problem as the local area is nice too, some awesome quiet spots on the lake and restarurents, supermarkets near by. There is also the bus that can be caugth to town for less than a euro but you will find your self taking the bus or doing the walk most days before you've even began to explore the lake further (that is of course if you dont rent a car!)
It's no bigger, but the location is not at the historical/central part of sirmione.
However we found the walks and the bus all part of the fun and experience and would reccomend this hotel and it's helpful staff to anybody.”

“Ottimo rapporto qualità-prezzo. La camera standard da me provata ideale per brevi soggiorni in quanto un po' piccola. Bella piscina. Colazione soddisfacente. Ottimo garage interrato.”

“Hotel is simple but comfortable- rooms are small but beds are good and bathrooms are decent size with lots of hot water. Breakfast is ample and enough variety for a few days. Staff is helpful in reserving taxis/information, etc.”
