Surprisingly good hotel, we would stay there again. But here are a few suggestions to improve: The emails they send in the days preceding the reservation are misleading. They suggest eating at their own 220House Restaurant, but it is permanently closed, so that was not an option. Also, on arriving, there was nobody at the desk There were two phone numbers taped to the door. One dialed to a NY #, the second dialed to a Florida #. Both were were non-operational phone numbers. The phone # in the email was also invalid. We almost panicked, thinking that we arrived at a ghost hotel that was shut down. There was QR code taped over the button on the intercom and we didn't see the button at first, but then hit that and someone answered. All's well that ends well, but management might want to rethink how present contact options for arrivals. The other problems: 1 roll of toilet paper, and I'm sure we could have just called and asked for more, but the path of least resistance was just walking to Family Dollar next door and buying a roll. Also, hallway lights would have been nice. Our room was more of a suite with a hallway to the bathroom and entry, and it it was impossible to see anything. The microwave, fridge and coffee maker were in this dark hallway. The room was 89 degrees when we arrived, but it was a heatwave, so I won't hold this against the hotel. But it did take about 3 hours to lower the temps to sleeping tolerance.

Our flight was canceled so we got in a little late. The hotel was locked and no one was there to let us in. There was a phone number to call but no one would answer. We had to search for a different hotel for the night that was about 20 minutes away. That was very disappointing. We had to go back to Dushmore the next night since we already paid. After checking in we went to get bags from the car and there was a very large knife next to our car. We will not be going back.

The room was spacious and clean. The check in process was not good. I thought someone would be onsite to check in from 4-8 pm. I arrived at 5 and waited over an hour to get checked in. The manager was not on site. He thought I was someone else then couldn’t locate my reservation. Finally we got instructions to get the room key.

No spa

Was not sure what to expect in this small town. The room was very spacious with a sitting area and coffee station area. The bathroom was excellent with good water pressure and nice towels. The pantry area was convenient with snacks after a long drive and toast, cereal, and coffee in the morning.

The room as well as all the amenities in the hotel were all very clean. The staff was pleasant and friendly, and a complementary breakfast buffet was stocked and fresh. Would recommend staying here 10 out of 10..

The rooms were perfect. Staff was very nice. Will definitely stay again when we come visit family

Hotel was good for basic lodging in a clean facility. Breakfast looked like basic pre-packaged food. (we went to Pam's a few blocks away). Not many choices in town so the $200 price is high, $150 would be more appropriate for what you get. Skelton crew but I believe we were the only guests.

The staff was very helpful and accommodating for us. They seemed to genuinely care about our stay.

They advertise breakfast. It consisted of three dry cereals with no milk, some oatmeal, some microwave pastries. The water and ice machine did not work. We had to buy ice. For service you had to call. The facility appeared very new and clean. Service questionable. When we arrived, the attendant did not know we were coming. He charged us on our credit card after we had paid through expedia. They did reverse that charge.
