Perfect location, spacious room, comfortable beds. No AC, only small fan, however we opened the windows and had a good nights sleep.

Why do you force me to write somethinh?

Lovely hotel but be aware that it is historic with no AC. They supply a fan that doesn't do much, we visited in end of June and we were sweating at night. Opening the windows gave no relief either. It was hard to fall asleep. I would avoid in summer months. The other issue in Rothenburg area only couple taxis available. We booked a taxi thru hotel on our checkout date at 10:15 am then realized we needed to catch an earlier train. So I notified the hotel the day before to ask if we can change it to 09:30 instead. They informed me they can't change it because they are fully booked. So I said ok- obviously I had no other choice (Uber not an option in that town). The next day we checkout, the frontdesk lady saw us waiting outside at 10:am, 10:15 rolls in no taxi. I go back in ask the front desk, she said oh I canceled it yesterday! Im like what? I didn't ask you to cancel! And if you were confused how about you call your guest and ask should we cancel? Then u saw us outside- what did u think we were waiting for??? When our only option was the taxi you canceled!! A bit of common sense would have gone a long way and better communication. I was a bit upset and she was asking me to calm down ( I was not yelling just upset and asking her who said to cancel my taxi). Instead of apologizing and owning up for the mistake, she acted like I'm being irrational. You canceled my taxi without notifying me, you claimed it is fully booked and I have a train to catch...so yeah I got upset!

This hotel is just a 2 mins walk from the town square and is so well maintained. The front desk was so helpful answering all our questions and the rooms were so beautiful and clean. Would highly recommend. Parking is a couple blocks away (7 min walk)

beautiful hotel and setting. only issue as it is throughout Europe at these charming hotels is no air conditioning!

The interior design of this hotel and location are excellent. We especially enjoyed the balcony view of our room. The staff, however, was not very helpful. Our mini bar in the room wasn't working and we were told that mini bars are not supposed to keep things cool. There are also no coffee or tea makers in the rooms. We asked to borrow a water kettle, but were told they aren't permitted in rooms of old hotels--also not true. The rooms are also very hot with no cross ventilation, so if the weather is warm, I would not recommend staying here.

Beautiful hotel with luxurious feel and fitting perfectly into the historical scenery. We asked for a view of the valley and got a room on the third floor with a lovely view and a balcony. Spacious room with elegance. Only negative is that vacuuming under the bed was over due. Room didn’t have an air conditioner which we should have check beforehand and the room got really warm in the heat. We did have a fan but it didn’t help much.

Beautiful hotel in the perfect location to explore the city. Make sure you reserve a parking spot in advance and confirm it or you’ll need to park outside the city walls.
