“I rarely write negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share this so other travelers don’t book the Illa d’Or apartments expecting the four-star experience being advertised. The apartments feel completely separate from—and frankly forgotten by—the main hotel. They are tucked away with little attention from staff, and our apartment had a terrible smell, inadequate air conditioning, significant noise, cleanliness issues, and mold in the shower. Nothing about the experience felt remotely four-star. At best, I would consider the apartments three-star accommodation, and even that feels generous. The most misleading part is that when booking through Hotel Illa d’Or, you naturally expect the same level of quality, cleanliness, service, and hospitality associated with the hotel. That was absolutely not our experience. The apartments felt like an entirely different property. I do want to specifically recognize Monica, the Guest Experience Manager, who was incredibly kind and professional. She genuinely listened to our concerns and graciously accommodated us for one night in the main hotel, which we greatly appreciated. Unfortunately, we had to return to the apartment for our second and final night. Mallorca is beautiful, and we had been looking forward to ending our trip here. Instead, our final two days were overshadowed by accommodations we were uncomfortable staying in, which was incredibly disappointing. I’m writing this review primarily so others understand what they’re booking”

“Returning customer for the fifth time. This time we were dissatisfied. Service in the bar and restaurant is woefully poor. Stressed and rude staff. Most of them are very young and lack both education and sense of how to behave towards the guest. We ate at the restaurant several times. Bad expensive food and the most annoying thing was that the service missed our gluten-free order. Something that we find very serious.”

“Staff quite rigid, often pointed to someone else to answer a simple question like how to get to the pool area, pool area disappointing, limited sun beds by the beach and travellers putting towels down at stupid o’clock, cleaner came into my room without knocking and did the same to 2 of my party, no apology given.”

“We are regular visitors. There are lots of returning guests. For a good reason. This is a wonderful hotel, spotless, modern yet full of character which is not easy to achieve. The staff are friendly, helpful and efficient in equal measure. You must go.”
