“Update the towels and duvet cover and this would be great!”

“The restaurant and garden were not as advertised. The room was extremely small. The exterior was not well maintained, and the location was inconvenient. The Hotel would have been acceptable, but the price was luxury level exorbitant. We paid over $350 US pernight. Breakfast was good though!”

“The room itself was clean. However, we paid for a room with a private bathroom and that was a big problem. There was no partition between the shower and the toilet, so everything just splashed together. But the worse problem, by far, was the ramshackle toilet with an odd flush mechanism that did not work properly. The toilet never fully flushed. And, worst of all, there was a faint but unmistakable and pervasive sewer smell that we endured all night. The next morning, I showed the proprietor everything and she said there was no problem. I think the other room with a private BR was okay, I was able to see it and smell it briefly after they cleaned it. Anyway, we left as quickly as possible the next morning and without breakfast.”

“The breakfast menu was fresh and the Mountain View was great. The twin beds were not comfortable. At least in our room. They need new mattresses. Other than that. The room was very clean and cute. Very enjoyable stay. ”

“The room was small but nice quality. The view was amazing. It is the middle of a field, with a view of the waterfalls and mountains. It is not walkable. Restaurants are a 15 minute drive at minimum. Breakfast was excellent.”

“Property is quite isolated and far from eating establishments. We had an excellent dinner (need to preorder) and the breakfast buffet was good. Room was very small w/o a desk or closet and very small bathroom with limited amenities.”

“It’s not a fancy hotel but it is very nice. The staff were helpful with advice on local restaurants and the breakfast was good. We also appreciated that they had a charger for our plug-in hybrid vehicle, though we couldn’t always use it as other guests got to it first.”

“It’s quite basic. I didn’t really see staff as it’s self check in and self check out, so I can’t comment. Breakfast is 8-10am which is late compared to other hotels/motels in Iceland (usually 7-10am).”
