Jot's Resort  |  Hotel in Wedderburn

Excellent lodge-like resort. What stood out is the terrace in the room. Was pleasant to watch the sunset in the evening from the deck. On the downside, other guests smoke on their decks, and the smell of the smoke was pretty prominent outside. Room was clean with very good layout. Location is also great for the fisherman as it's close to the water access and there is abundance of guiding services around. Pleased overall and will be back.

Where to start. If you’re looking for an adventure look no further. The good…the sauna was actually really nice. The view from the riverside picnic bench while drinking my morning coffee (kissing rock coffee up the street is superb) was exceptionaly nice on a pleasant summer morning. The front desk staff was courteous and the maintenance man seemed very nice. Now the bad, the pool looked like it was being used for a high school biology class experiment. The walls and floors passed sound and vibrations like they were made out of balsa wood. There is a bouy or some sea siren in the distance making a constant sound every minute or so. The cleanliness of the bathroom walls looked suspect. I will have to say we got plenty of laughs out of Jots and overall we had a wonderful time.

Very basic stay overall.

The room looked like it had not been vacuumed and the night stand had drink rings on it. There was mold in the shower and they gave us an accessible room and the shower didn’t drain properly and soaked the whole floor. It was less than stellar.

Put special notes for my stay on website gentleman said there was nothing noted. I make notes all the time and was first time I was told this. I left came back to check in as room wasn’t quite ready and the girl at the desk fixed my room and handled it. The guy at desk needs customer service training he didn’t even ask about my notes or try to help. Then I stayed 10 days ran out of regular amenities toilet paper, Kleenex, coffee had to ask 3 times for someone to bring to me. Called, went to desk and finally on 3rd call (total 3days doing this) they finally brought what I needed. I have stayed many years at jots…10 plus days each time and this was the first time service was an issue.

Great location. Room was not ready when we arrived. Don't expect trash service or coffee, just do it yourself.

The front desk girl was very efficient and friendly at check in. My room was very warm, but I didn't see an a/c thermostat. There was a fan on the wall but I couldn't get it to work. I called the front desk to ask and it and also about a/c. She said some rooms have a/c but she was new and didn't know which ones. She told me which switch on the wall would turn on the fan. It didn't work, but after standing on a chair and using the flashlight on my phone, I finally got it going. The shower had been nicely remodeled but there was nowhere to put soap, shampoo, or razor other than on the floor. The room was clean and the view of the river was lovely.
