“We thoroughly enjoyed our two week stay at Mainroom. From first contact till departure our hosts could not do enough to make us comfortable. The apartment is extremely well equipped right down to coffee and sugar. It is super clean and has quite a few very respectable restaurants nearby. Plus you are a stones throw from the historical core of Lisbon and a major rail station for day trips. Two grocery stores nearby as well. While not air conditioned, our host brought fans for the hottest days. Otherwise there is a natural airflow through the huge windows. It is a city so early morning trash collection might wake you up but that’s it for any negatives. Wear good walking shoes since Lisbon is best explored on foot and there are lots of hills! Really in almost 20 years of renting short term apartments all over Europe and North America, this was our best experience ever.Thank you Estela and Ricardo for a simply wonderful stay.”

“Estela & Ricardo are incredible hosts, took the time to make sure we were situated after our long journey and gave us some great tips and insights on our surrounding area and all of Lisbon! We have stayed in many places all over the world and there are not many where the home/location exceeded our expectations, Estela and Ricardo’s home was definitely one of those experiences! Their home was so clean and well decorated, we immediately fell in love with it. And the location, I’m not sure there could be a better one…. located on the corner and in the middle of the city, with the many balconies overlooking the streets of Lisbon we didn’t even have to leave the apartment to feel the energy of the city! We don’t take these reviews lightly as we know others rely on them to make big decisions for their own vacation, we can honestly say u will not be disappointed with ur stay at Estela and Ricardo’s home, thank you so much! “Our rating is based on 1) our interactions with the host (5-stars - excellent and timely communications!) and 2) how they saved our trip to Lisbon after a pipe burst in their apartment just days prior to our arrival (they secured a nice alternative lodging for us for the stay and it worked out great) (5-stars - excellent save!)- from the description of their place (that we didn’t end up getting to stay in) we missed out on a great place in a great location, but Ricardo and Elena’s help getting us set and having our trip proceed without a hitch in spite of the unlucky issues Ricardo and Elena were dealing with made it a great visit to Lisbon for us.”

“Very welcoming host, well laid out apartment, fully modernized but still had old world feel and charm. It had easy access and everything you could need including a comfy bed, but favourite part was standing in the window balconies watching the world walk by! ”

“We stayed for two weeks and the apartment is in the best location you can hope for. The supermarket is just two minutes from the apartment and it was a life saver. Stores, restaurants, and Museums are a stone throw away. Ricardo and Estrella work great as a team and they even set up transportation for us to get to the apartment. We loved it.”

“We highly recommend! The apartment was squeaky, clean, spacious, comfortable beds, well stocked kitchen, Washer dryer combo, dishwasher and many more amenities. Appreciated it being an elevator building and a fantastic location close to everything. Host was excellent and provided us with sample itineraries for visiting Lisbon as well as restaurant recommendations. Highly recommended for anybody visiting Lisbon.! ”
