“We were warmly welcomed and given lovely rooms. The rooms were clean and had a sitting area too… felt very spacious.
The breakfast was lovely. A good choice of local food. Not one of these massive breakfasts but plenty. A good start to the day.
The lady who served breakfast and who checked us out was lovely… when I asked about her recommendations for local things to see and do, she was very helpful, but not overbearing in the slightest. When asked, she said she had appeared in previous passion plays and now does the costumes for them. Very modest but also proud of the town’s drama/musical skills! Great conversation.

“Polite and accomodating staff! I had the room on the top floor, and it was spacious and comfortable, and quite warm (nice in wintertime). The location is a short walk from many of the restaurants in Oberammergau. Overall a good location.”

“We’ve been here 5 times, last 3 at Mammhofer. Close to everything we want to visit, easy go anywhere in town just walking. Excellent care and attention of the owner. It is like visit friends. I think that if we comeback to the same place and plan to return next time means more than many positive words We can write or say.”
