“The property needs to be upgraded and there was a problem with toilet plumbing that resulted in a smell in the room.”

“Convenient to town and a marvelous piece of history., it was a little shabby so I wouldn’t recommend it to friends that stay at five star resorts. Staff was excellent including the restaurant. The woodwork could use a little touch up and the windows were in real need of cleaning.”

“This was a cool place to stay, so much history! I room was clean and tidy but the grounds need some love. Big opportunity to have a beautiful garden. The library is charming and the front desk help was great.”

“It's a castle!!!How cool is this place! Of course things are not going to be as shiny and up to date as your typical Vegas casino or Red Lion hotel but damn, the history and looking at all the HAND carved woodwork more than makes up for the the little imperfections. Not to mention... Ghosts! No I didn't experience anything but still... Come on...it's a freaking castle, by the sea, in a cute town. I took my husband for a Father's Day road trip and we had a blast staying here and going on a haunted walking tour. Don't forget to check out the town for more haunted locations, Fort Worden, and the antique shops. We both agreed we'd love to come back soon to see more. The perfect seaside trip ♥️”

“This old mansion has been incompletely converted into a modern hotel. The elevator (which was a requirement that first brought to the site) is available only by paging the front desk to bring it up to the room floor. The room was not made up after the first day. In room bath and shower was awkward to say the least. Sorry, I don't usually give bad reviews.”

“A very quaint and charming place. However, because of its age there were a few little maintenance things that weren't up to what one finds in the newer hotels. Though I must say, the old section craftsmanship isn't something one sees anymore which added to its charm. Needless to say the local ghost did not visit us.”

“On site parking and on site Mexican restaurant. No pool, no exercise room, and one antique elevator which can only be manned by staff. IF you call and IF they answer. Not walking distance to downtown.”

“I loved staying in this haunted castle hotel! The bad was there was no maid service on a two night stay and there was no soap or shampoo to use. We had to ask for soap. The hotel was cool with old pictures and stories from staff though.”
