Positive: Really nice place right on the lakeshore. Nice restaurant- definitely try the lake fish. Very friendly staff. Easy to book activities such as boat tours, snorkeling with cichlids, hiking. Not luxury, but delightful.
Negative: Anything I didn’t like was kind of out of their control. Road to get there, including through the town, is really rough. Occasional power outages.
Summary: Beautiful lakeside getaway.

Positive:
An amazing place to stay. Beautiful views and very calming. Basic huts but well looked after and very clean. The staff were Excellent. Very polite and helpful.
Negative:
My blanket smelt so bad of BO that I had to get it changed. Not the sheets they were clean and nice. Our room had been double booked so that took time to sort out but they made room for us in the end. We couldn’t pay in US$ as the machine wouldn’t work so had to pay in Malawi K which ended up being about $20 more than we had been told. Personally I don’t think that’s good enough, the price given was in US$ so that’s what should have been charged.
Summary: A lovely place to stay.be aware that it’s in the village so you need to be comfortable to share the beach with people wa

Positive:
Friendly staff. Nice food. Beautiful garden setting by the lake.
Negative:
Could do with some refurbishment. Hut was quite tired. Mosquito netting on windows but big cracks between the doors and a completely open hole/vent in the roof.
Plague of ants everywhere (mostly not in the hut). We ate the included breakfast there but went elsewhere otherwise as they crawl all over you. Impossible to sit comfortably in garden because of this.
No beach because water levels were so high (not their fault).
No solace or protection from sellers and those offering service whilst in lodge grounds.
