“The hotel is a collection of very old buildings that have been developed into a luxury hotel In a really sympathetic manner. Our room was spotlessly clean & really comfortable and the bathroom was fabulous with a lovely bath and a truly excellent shower. The hotel has a smallish (but very enjoyable to swim in) indoor pool & a gym and wellness centre, though we didn’t have the chance to try these. There is an excellent outdoor tennis court & table tennis table and plenty of free onsite parking. The hotel grounds are lovely, situated right beside the weir of the river and with the old mill wheel still there in the mill race. The hotel is situated by itself in very pretty countryside so is very quiet. The staff were all really friendly, dinner was excellent & the breakfast buffet was delicious & offered a comprehensive choice. We loved our stay and hope very much to return.”
