Pension Strawberry | House in Agia Paraskevi, Thessaly

“Lovely stay with lovely staff. Enjoyed the whole thing and would recommend Strawberry Pension. Only criticism is poor communication before arrived as we asked for 2 rooms next to one another (large family) which both the venue and Expedia did not respond to. Also the pool is adequate but looks a bit tired and may be needs a clean. Rooms are fab and everything else really nice. Thank you ”

“We had a wonderful stay at Pension Strawberry. Everything was nearly perfect, good location (Beach at 6 min by foot, good restaurants at 1-2 min by foot). It is also a perfect location to move in all Skiathos if you have a car. The Staff is very nice and polite and it is ideal for families with children's. I don't give 5 stars only because the swimming pool that should be more empty and the waterline should be cleaned more often. ”

“A stay at Strawberry is a sweet experience. Margarita was a wonderful host and couldn’t do enough for you. The Pension is spotless, pool lovely and quiet and breakfast each day had plenty of choices. Definitely a place to relax and unwind. Plenty of wonderful restaurants literally on the doorstep. And don’t bother with the journey to Koukanaries…Paraskevi Beach is just across the road and very relaxing with plenty of amenities. Bus stop is a few hundred yards away, too. Perfect for going into town. All in all, great location, great hospitality…thoroughly recommended.”

“Lovely place to stay, excellent location. The lady who runs the pension is really friendly and helpful. A lovely breakfast is included in the cost. The room was modern and a kettle was available. The only issue was there was a smell of drains in the room. The sink has not been plumbed in correctly and there are issues with the floor drains. Overall it didn’t spoil our stay and we would certainly return. ”

“Can't complain about the property or the lovely staff as we had stayed at the Strawberry in June & we have booked to stay next year as well. The problem myself & several of my friends experienced was with the Agency dealing with the bookings. When we booked in Jan 2022 through Hotels.com we chose to pay at the property & were charged extra for this, but 3 weeks before we were due to travel the money was taken from my credit card, but for some of my friends their rooms were cancelled because of problems with their cards. However, instead of contacting them to give them the opportunity to give details of another card, they just cancelled their rooms. When they tried to rebook the rooms they experienced problems. Eventually, after about 24hrs of trying to rebook, one room could not be booked so I then went onto Hotels.com & managed to get them a room which cost almost £700 which was more than double what they initally booked for. This was absolutely disgusting considering their stay was only for 7 nights & were charged for 14 nights. I notice that the prices for next year are less than £300 for a week. I see that all future bookings can only be booked without the choice of free cancellations, which to be honest is not worth diddly squat when the Agent takes your money any way. Maybe Hotels.com should contact them to find out what they're playing at. Beside all this I would say that the resort Manager Margarita is fabulous & unaware of anything to do with bookings. ”
