Rainbow Lodge | Hotel in South Fork, Colorado

“My husband found a spider in our bed and we never seen anyone”

“My parking was great! Staff was good, if you see them. Everything automated so may see during check in . Room really nice and clean.”

“Want a room with NO USB ports? How about a room with no clock? Well, how about a room with difficult access to an electric outlet wall plug? Not enough? How about a room with no climate control? Well then, you've come to the right place. But be prepared and bring your own USB brick to charge your devices, and also get ready to physically move furniture to get your brick into a plug. Nice place, nice people. Hello, 21st century calling... please CATCH UP.”

“Room was right on highway. AC fan was really loud. The shower saw was incredibly dangerously slippery.”

“Clean room, comfortable beds, pet friendly”

“The room was clean and quiet. The prices were great. This new way to stay at a hotel was a bit frightening at first (i.e., there are no staff at all at the hotel, no check-in people, no one to ask for anything, etc.) but since I had no questions, I found it to be fine.”

“This is a hard review to write. If the review were based solely on the property, I would rate the lodge as excellent. Big beautiful room. Absolutely the cleanest room we've ever had! However, an evaluation of accommodations cannot be based strictly on the physical property. Unfortunately, the human element has been removed in favor of technology. There are no human beings at the facility. Everything is accomplished by text and room codes. We arrived in the rain and couldn’t get into our room because we were given the wrong code. One evening my husband couldn’t get ice because the door was locked. The biggest problem is that there is no one to help you if you have an immediate problem. In our case, the people above us were very noisy. It sounded like we had a bowling alley above us for hours. The first night at 11pm we texted management and received a response stating that they were unavailable. They didn’t respond the next day either. Our second night there was constant pounding, running up and down stairs, a dog barking, etc. So, in sum, beautiful clean room, but no rest. No personal engagement. We love to road trip and visit all the small towns in Colorado. However, the trips are about the people, not a room. Would have been nice to see a smiling face.”

“Super clean. No air conditioning. Some of the wall outlet sockets were loose so I couldn’t use them. Great location, right in the middle of town.”

“Nice, big room. Good value. We had a dog and found the dog walk area lacking- mostly from lazy owners too lazy to clean up even though baggies are provided. The other side of that is, it appeared the motel staff hadn’t cleaned up in quite a while either. Another negative was the apartment over our room had dogs that ran and jumped around the apartment until midnight and started again early morning- too loud to sleep.”

“Room 102. The AC did not work and staff was unavailable to come look at it. The room looked like a remodel was started but never finished correctly (over spray texture on doors, wood filler between all the gaps in the tongue and groove boards). Weeds were growing out of the sheet rock in the shower. The shower curtain had hair all over it. The shower and sink water both have a horrible chlorine smell like a swimming pool.”
