“Amazing property… thank you ”

“This is a beautiful hotel in a lovely little town built around thermal spas. The six of us had three rooms : ours was spacious and lovely. Our friends who had booked a suite were not able to check in until late afternoon since their room was not ready. They were then given a tiny room a few doors down from where they were told they would be. Not off to a good start.... Then, after we were told that it was okay to open a bottle of wine that our friends had brought from Bordeaux we enjoyed the warm afternoon sun on one of the numerous patios... Until the waitress told us that there was a €45 corkage fee! Dinner was lovely and expensive and three hours long.”

“Fantastic staff, excellent food, lovely public rooms and garden, what more could we want? Just a 'suite' that actually is a suite and not a bedroom with two chairs, oh and a window please with a view of...well...anything! And maybe coffee served in the room and a pool towel! La Bastide has the potential to be great, it's just struggling to get over the finishing line.”
