Riviera Motel  |  Hotel in Mackinaw City

Have-been to much better places in Maxkinaw City. Would not stay here agsin

Hotel has by far the best view of the bridge right on the water. Pool overlooks water and bridge. Rooms are clear and tidy. Parking felt protected since it was behind the hotel. Check in was great the person on the desk was very helpful and attentive. Walking distance to restaurants downtown.

My gf and I stayed here one night with the intention of splitting up our trip to Charlevoix from Appleton. I thought it would be cool to stay somewhere in clear view of the bridge - and it was - the view is great! That was the only good part. This hotel is a lightly polished turd. The carpets were filthy, there was rust on every metal fixture in the bathroom, the PVC wall panels that lined the entire bathroom were bubbling and at risk of coming off the walls, and there was a pungent perfume sprayed all over the room…I’m sure to hide the smell of mold and must. There was an effort many years ago to rehab this old building but it’s due again. We may be pickier than most but the ratings (9.2 at the moment) this place is getting makes me heavily doubt the legitimacy of ratings on hotels.com.

The outside is dated which is cool. It gives the old time hotel vibe. The rooms are updated and very clean. The view of the bridge is awesome. We only stayed overnight so didn't get a chance to check things out. Hope to get back so we can and I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and fairly updated. There was a kuerig coffee maker in the room. The ferry to the island and shops were all within walking distance

The staff was great, I thought that we were supposed to be facing the lake but weren't but that was fine. Bed was comfy, the bugs were intense but also not their problem. Overall a good stay.

The staff was very friendly. We were able to walk right out to the beach. The room was quiet and felt isolated from a lot of noise.

Our stay was excellent. They had a shuttle to take us to the ferry to get to Mackinac Island. The rooms were clean and had parking.

I had an extremely pleasant stay in this motel. The location was wonderful, there was a beautiful view of the bridge and it was in walking distance to most of the Mackinaw City attractions. The room was extremely clean. The check in staff were extremely friendly and helpful. There was an outdoor pool, it looked very clean, but it was too cold to use it while I was there. Don't expect luxury, but it's a clean, continent place to stay for a family vacation.
