Positive: Loved the location even though parking was tricky! Property was very well equipped.
Negative: Had difficulty opening the key lock-box. Managed (after several minutes of trying) to open it on arrival but had to telephone the host on departure as couldn't open the lock-box to replace keys - was given permission to put keys through the letter box.
Summary: Thoroughly enjoyed our stay - despite the mixed weather! Will definitely return to North Berwick.

Good location, parking was a pain but not your fault, town was empty with plenty of parking but couldn’t park outside the property for more than 90 mins.
Negative:
I loved the description of the property having a modern kitchen, the wall mounted can opener, haven’t seen one of those since I grew up in the 70’s summed the place up, it was clearly an elderly gentleman’s house.
A huge amount of money for 3 nights stay, I need to start a BTL business !!

Beautiful and spacious apartment, kitchen well equipped. Living room with comfortable sofas and scenic view from dinner table. Modern heating system.
Conveniently located just at the edge of the historic centre, high-quality local grocery shops in walking distance. We also used it as a basis for trips from the Scottish Seabird Centre at the harbour, 8-10 minutes walk.
Summary: Comfortable apartment, wonderful 5 days in North Berwick and East Lothian

The location was very good.🙂 Not too far from the beach but also not so close that it would be in danger of flooding. It was also a couple minute walk from the station, which was good as we were relying on public transport. Another thing that pleased us was the bookcase. It had great books, also ones about Scotland, and a couple of fun games, as well as maps of the area. There is also a guestbook (not in the shelf) with great tips for parks...
Negative:
The neighbours from downstairs were very loud. During the night there was a constant banging making it hard to sleep. Another problem was the bedding. There was no option of another blanket or duvet cover if there you have a feather allergy, (we all do) so we had to source our own (mainly from M&S). Then there was the heating. I don't know if we just didn't know how to use it, but it seemed to me there was no way of controlling it. At night the heating was turned off automatically, which made it even harder without proper duvets.

The rooms are spacious, and although the furnishings are dated, the beds and sofas are very comfortable. The kitchen is well appointed. Everything worked, the wifi, TV, all appliances, central heating, shower. We know this area well, and we would definitely recommend Sandstones for any visiting walker, golfer, or Edinburgh tourist.
Negative:
The stairs up to the apartment are almost circular so we recommend no large or heavy suitcase! However, they are wide and solid and we were able to leave our golf bags on the corner steps without them causing a trip hazard.
