“There’s not a lot of options in Santa Paula. This hotel is ok but nothing special. The “breakfast “ was extremely limited.”

“My husband and I booked two nights at the Santa Paula Inn, a small historic hotel located right in downtown Santa Paula. The location is excellent — close to Main Street and within easy walking distance of restaurants and shops. The staff was very friendly, and the property looks like it has been recently renovated and freshly painted. There are nice updates throughout, and the little garden patio is a pleasant place to sit. We booked a room with two queen‑size beds, but the room itself was quite small, and the bed we slept in was definitely not a queen. It was a standard double, which made it uncomfortable, especially with my husband being a larger man (6ft 4). The mattress itself was also extremely uncomfortable and left both of us with back pain. Once we settled in, we noticed several maintenance and cleanliness issues. The bathroom tile walls hadn’t been cleaned, my husband was able to scrape dirt off with his fingernail. The electrical outlets were old, mismatched, and in poor condition as the plugs wouldn't hold a plug. The toilet had a standard bowl with an elongated seat that didn’t fit properly, the bolts were rusted and there was a ring. at the base, The ceiling fan wobbled violently ast he blades were unbalanced, and it made a loud clicking sound at night. The continental breakfast was disappointing. There were a few tiny muffins, almost‑empty orange juice, and a single slice of bread left. It didn’t appear that anyone monitored or refreshed the breakfast”

“The rooms felt freshly renovated in this historic building. The staff was friendly and helpful. The back patio area was very inviting. Our room was spacious and had more amenities than I was expecting (like a tiny kitchenette area). I do wish the bed had more than two pillows on it. We arrived after hours so we didn’t have the ability to ask for more. Other than that, I would stay here again.”
