Sigtuna Stadshotell | Hotel in Sigtuna, Stockholm County

“Beautiful hotel centrally located. Classy upscale. The robe in the slippers awaiting me. The view from the deck is amazing. Couldn’t ask for a better place.”

“The location is great, as was the breakfast. However, while we enjoyed the splendid view from our room (a deluxe kingsize with lake view), we had expected a balcony. When I pointed out that the room is advertised with a photo of a balcony to the receptionist, she explained that only two of those kinds of rooms have balconies. We paid the same price for no balcony, so it was quite misleading and disappointing and unnecessarily took the shine off what was otherwise a very nice stay.”

“Very nice hotel in a beautiful place”

“We stayed in a suite room. The room itself and the breakfast were both very good. However, we specifically booked the suite because it was advertised as being available as a twin room. Instead, the hotel simply pushed two single beds together and covered them with a single king-size mattress topper. When I raised this issue, the staff were polite and friendly, but we were told that no changes could be made. I found this difficult to understand, as it seemed that simply changing the mattress topper to 2 single size topper would have solved the problem. This was very disappointing, especially because we had specifically selected the twin-room option when making the reservation. Had I known in advance that a proper twin setup would not be provided, I would have booked a standard room at half the price instead.”

“We loved this hotel. It was the perfect location - we walked everywhere. The bed was comfortable. Our windows opened onto a view of a green space. The food was delicious. I would highly recommend this charming hotel.”

“Lovely old Hotel in the city center och Sigtuna, carefully renovated 10 years ago (I guess). Beautiful areas, lounge and restaurant overviewing the bay of Sigtuna. Great outdoor space in connection to the restaurant. Staff was kind and helpful. Only one small thing, could have wished for a little more luxurious breakfast (for instance should the various cold cuts and other delicacies been served on chilled coasters).”

“Lovely room, and very nice beds. Luxurious feel, nice also with coffee maker, however it would have been nice with some more coffee pods. But what is letting the hotel down is the food, we had dinner at the hotel and for me the food came short, flavours was not balanced and very bland, as main we had cod with horseradish.. tasted nothing and textures was uninteresting. The waitress spilled a puddle of wine at the table, and did not return to wipe it off.. a lot of things were ’ I’m sorry but we do not have that’ mentality. breakfast however was very good and a lovely selection of nice breakfast food.”

“Beautiful lake view. Wonderful location & walkability. Excellent value.. Would absolutely recommend staying here.”

“Wonderful hotel with very clean rooms. ”
