Positive: A beautiful apartment not far from Road 1, very quiet and secluded, even though it is near a farm area. We arrived in the dark and had some difficulty identifying our apartment, but the owners were very kind and helpful in guiding us. The room was tidy, clean, and well-equipped. We had some problemas with the lock which was very hard to close. We slept in the most comfortable beds we've ever experienced in our lives!
Negative: Indications to find the apartaments more easily
Summary: Very nice place for a stay

First of all, it was fantastic! The owners are really super nice and everything was uncomplicated! One of my best and most relaxed stays I've ever had! The apartment is very good, clean and there is everything you need! Great kitchen, great bathroom and good beds. It is the best base for wonderful trips the west and south and because it's a bit off the main roads, it's wonderfully quiet! At this point, thank you again and I will definitely come back!
Summary: Wonderful Strýta Apartments

Positive:
The reviews I read where not according to what I saw. The apartment is FANTASTIC. Clean, full equipped, comfortable, secure, everything works correctly and has a very nice landscaping with calm surroundings. Enough secure parking.
FIVE stars is not enough.
Negative:
I had no phone service for the last 10 days so I had no way to communicate with the owner. My timing change because of serious navigation errors. Imagine how I felt arriving late with no instructions. Written instructions would help for those situations that are common in Iceland for foreign visitors.
Summary: The place is fantastic. Highly recommended if you have your own transportation.

Positive:
Stayed in a small but cosy and clean apartment with a nice outdoor area and great views over the fields with horses. Good communication from the owner with instructions on access.
Negative:
The main door to the property was almost impossible to lock. When I did lock it I couldn’t unlock it without a lot of effort, so in the end left it unlocked overnight. Having to roll down six or seven narrow individual roller blinds is a bit of a faff and the cord of one of them snapped off.
Summary: Cosy, comfortable location in peaceful rural setting
