Sunset Condominiums | Hotel in Mackinac Island

Very nice place to stay, clean. No personal contact, let yourself in. Quick response to any concerns. Our microwave went out because of the breaker. Response within 5 minutes. Mini-fridge and freezer work. Full pot if coffee. Close to small convenience store selling drinks, sandwiches, travel samples of whatever you forgot at home. Overall, a bargain considering all of the very expensive hotels near by. A taxi or shuttle is needed to get there and back from the main strip/ down town, $11 each way, kids half price. 40 minute hike if you decide to walk. Most rooms have a small balcony with table and chairs.

We LOVED this place so much! Everything was absolutely perfect. From the smart TV to the fully stocked kitchen, to the most cmforable bed, to the view (peekaboo if you're in the Sandalwood #5) to the deck, to the cute horse butt photo in the bathroom--wish I could find me one of those for my house--this place was perfection! So quiet, clean, and absolutely wonderful! The only con? Getting there. GPS will absolutely piss you off, so do not listen to it. Take Annex to Stonecliff. Do NOT go around on the lower, easy, paved road or you will end up on a gravel hill from Hell. Seriously. If you take the taxi, no worries, but if you ride a bike, heed this warning. LOL This info on how to get there should be in the info email or text , but otherwise, perfect place to stay. It's remote, it is beautiful, homey and lovely. Enjoy your stay!

Clean room. We biked up there and it is quite a bit There is a nice restaurant next door, on the pricier side but good food Enjoyed our stay

We had a great experience here.

The interior of the room was fine. The bed was comfortable and the shower has really good pressure. The exterior needs a freshen up. Wood siding and there was a fair amount of rot around our balcony. Im sure the winters are hard on the buildings. For the value compared to other places on the island it's still a winner. If you looking to not break the bank this condo is the place to stay.

if you enjoy peace, quiet. seclusion, this is the place, A couple miles from activity, so if you alright with biking through paved wood trails. (we managed fine), only real challenge was a 1/2-mile incline leaving town. Not all condos enjoy feature photo, most have obstructed views of west lake. Al in all, we enjoyed very much, just expect some work to get it.

Nice location and nice price. However, the room is in the middle of 2 other rooms with connecting doors and you can hear everything if anyone is staying in one of the ajacent rooms. Left side had a barking dog for hours that was barking under the connecting door. Other side had a party group going till after 3 am and we got to hear all of their storys and cussing and bumping up against where our bed was- paper thin. Otherwise, a little older but pretty well kept. All depends on who is staying next to you. One more thing, this is on the lower level and very loud walking from the people above.
