The room smelled like an old wet basement, the bed was about as uncomfortable as you could get. And the air conditioner was loud ASF. Staff was great, breakfast and coffee was decent.
My son and I stayed 6 nights in an accessible room. The website mentions that you have to request housekeeping during longer stays, but even when we did, we found the service a bit unpredictable. There was no niche or shelf for toiletries in the shower, which was inconvenient. Of the five staff members I spoke to during the visit, only one graced us with a smile while we were there. The breakfast was ok, but only one day offered scrambled eggs and sausage; the biscuits and gravy on the other days were not as welcome. Fortunately, the waffle maker remained a reliable alternative. My grandsons loved the pool, which helped make up for some of the other shortcomings, and the location was very convenient. Unfortunately, the town is too small to offer any real competition and the place feels like it.
