Swiss Alps Inn | Hotel in Heber

The room was clean upon arriving. However, its smelled like it had been rubbed down in Irish springs bar soap. It took a good while to get used to it. We went to check out the pool and kids play area and we stepped in dog poop the first minute of being there. Other than that it was clean and the pool was great. The AC units in the rooms worked great until the 2nd day. The attached bedroom was fairly warm and we thought the AC was just struggling until we realized later that night that the radiator heater was on. We had the thermostat turned all the way down but the heater would not turn off. Even with the AC on high cool it was still about 80 in there so the 2nd night was miserable. They also don't have anyone at the front desk, you have to call them on a phone from outside the office. We considered staying a 3rd night but chose to head home early.

This was a nice place to stay for one night in June. It was more affordable than staying at a hotel in Midway (10 min drive away), but more than expected. This is a family-owned roadside motel with plenty of charm. There are 10-15 ground floor rooms accessed from the outside by a traditional metal key and parking in front of each room. The owner lives next door so the lobby is usually locked. You just need to pick up a phone and the owner will walk over to check you in. She was talkative and friendly and asked about my family, why we were there, what our plans were and when we were going to come and go. I didn't mind, but some might prefer a bit more privacy. The room was large, clean and well maintained. It had a king bed with a memory foam mattress and a queen bed with a coil spring mattress. The bathroom was large with a single sink and tub shower combo that was clean but worn with a very small showerhead. The A/C was a window unit built into the wall. It worked well and was quiet. Both the fridge and A/C were left off to save energy so the room needed a little time to cool down. The amenities were nice, but unusable. The outdoor pool was heated to 82 deg, but it was covered in ash from a recent wildfire, too dirty to swim. There was also an indoor hot tub, but it was emptied. The owners also own a popular burger and ice cream restaurant next door, so they offer a 10% discount to guests. Overall, Its nice and I would recommend it as long as expectations are kept in check.

This was such a cute place to stay! Mike was awesome and attentive with anything we needed. The AC worked great and the bed was super comfortable, would for sure stay here again!

We love this inn for our annual Heber Valley trip. It's clean, the staff is very quick to handle anything needed, and it's comfortable. The pool and hot tub were undergoing repairs this year, but they still have a playground for kiddos and they give a 10% discount to the burger joint next door.

It was a fine stay. Needs a new rotating glass dish in the microwave. Good for what was paid. Comfortable beds and clean.

The property received our service dog with open arms. Mike was very kind and helpful!
