“This was a beautiful, old house located within walking distance of downtown. Unfortunately, we were disappointed in several areas. 1) The property could use some TLC. Steps were loose, the mattress had clearly seen better days, the shower was adequate, but just barely so. 2) There was no one present to check us in. This, in and of itself, is not unheard of, but other properties have implemented technology and processes that allow guests to check themselves in. We had a 10-minute or so wait for the proprietor to arrive. 3) The breakfast was disappointing. Two small pancakes and a sausage patty. There were no other choices offered. We eat a gluten-free diet. 4) The staff just didn't seem to have the proper personality to be in the hospitality business. Especially the proprietors' mother (who cooks and cleans). She was somewhat rude/and terse to my wife. When she asked my wife why she didn't eat her pancakes, my wife informed her that she's gluten-free. She blamed my wife for not telling her. We had no idea what would be on the breakfast menu, nor were we ever asked about dietary restrictions. Also, when my wife inquired when she could have coffee, the response was a terse "when it's ready". In short, it wasn't terrible, but we would have been better off staying at a chain hotel for the same price.”

“Richard was wonderful and very hospitable and accommodating! The room was very clean but something triggered allergies. The area is lovely. We walked to a lunch spot - Keystone. And thought about going to see a movie at the Apollo. Breakfast was fine”

“The property is old, which I dont mind, but it is not well maintained; smells musty, wallpaper is peeling, ground in dirt on the floors. We did not stay for breakfast, so I cant say how that was.”

“Small family-owned B&B, and owner takes the time to get to know you. Rooms are old-fashioned but comfy if you like a no-nonsense stay without bells and whistles. Homemade breakfast is provided in the morning but the portions are pretty small. Pretty easy walk to restaurants and businesses in the downtown area. ”

“The fella that runs it was sweet only charged me half for a no-show the previous night (unavoidable on my behalf). The room was nice but not 160 a night nice.”

“I have been staying at "The Cozy" for years and have never been disappointed. The home is lovely, Richard and his mom (the breakfast lady) are very nice and friendly, and the house is situated in a nice walking neighborhood for leg-stretching after a drive.”
