The Golden Lamb | Hotel in Lebanon, Ohio

“Overall the stay and the accommodations were nice. We understand the age of the hotel and it mainly appeared kept up. However, the bathroom in our room was disappointing. Not by amenities, but the shower tiles were mismatched, grout missing and a caulking job that was extremely amateur. Not what you’d expect from a very popular establishment as this. Although the restaurant is not the hotel, but part of it, I have to include it as well. The staff and portions were good. The food itself was a little bland and lacked flavor. It wasn’t just one dish, but both my wife’s and mine. Overall a cool stay, especially with the history. ”

“We had drinks in the Black Horse Tavern before dinner. We loved the decor, the specialty drink by the mixologist, and our waiter was very friendly and helpful. After this, we dined in the "Library" (the navy room with the shelves of books). This room was beautiful as well. They knew we were celebrating our 39th wedding anniversary, so gave us a table by the window, which was wonderful. I had the Turkey Dinner, and it was fantastic. We stayed in the Warren G. Harding room. The towels and pillows were luxurious, and the bed was comfortable. I loved the handmade guest soaps. We also loved that we could see in the other rooms that were not currently occupied, as the doors were opened with a chain across the doorways. The only constructive criticism I could offer would be to reupholster the pieces that are getting a bit thread bare (when budget permits), and change the water more frequently on the beautiful fresh flowers in the lobby. Overall, the staff was great, and we had a wonderful experience at the Golden Lamb!”
