Lovely location, easy parking, good breakfast
Some of the staff were great, unfortunately the youngsters on the bar in the evening were not. Having spoken with the management the following morning they apologised and said changes will be made. The room was fine, apart from the cleanliness which needs to be improved.
I would class this hotel as ‘olde worlde’….. So anyone wanting modern it probably isn’t for you. Lots of interesting passages and stairs, and flagstone floors add to the atmosphere. Shower and bathroom very clean, TV, excellant, tea and coffee available in rooms. Breakfast ok, I wouldn’t say outstanding. Rather solid scrambled egg, bacon had obviously been cooked a little while and was tough. Coffee, brought in a jug was always lukewarm warm by the time I got to it! Evening menu very restricted., so I only had two dinners out of four. The staff were pleasant, but seemed a bit disorganised on occasions. I wouldn’t stay again, despite it being very easy to access Glorious Trebarwith Strand.
