The Savoy Hotel | Hotel in Limerick City Centre

Very nice hotel. The breakfast is outstanding.

With a name like Savoy we were expecting more like 4 or 5 star property. More like 3 star hotel. Breakfast was nice. Staff were friendly in dining room. Front desk staff were just ok. A/C was an issue in our initial room. They moved us. Became an issue the last night in 2nd room. Other hotel guests mentioned their A/C was an issue also. Would stay again just with different expectations.

Wonderful hotel, excellent staff and delicious food!

An excellent hotel that lives up to its 5 star billing. It might not be the cheapest but the quality of the rooms, associated restaurants and service deliver the value for money. Centrally located, with parking across the road if required.

We enjoyed our stay. There were several issues we had but they were taken care of promptly by the staff when we spoke to them. Our room was a king bed “executive” room. It had good work space, storage for clothes, a coffee maker with coffee pods and a hot water maker for tea and instant coffee. Glasses of a couple different sizes, a refrigerator (it didn’t work but was replaced right away), charger plug for portable devices by the bed, and adequate plugs around the room. A small table and chair were two could sit at using the desk chair. Room lighting was good. Sun beat down on our windows in the afternoon heating up the room to the point where the air conditioner couldn’t keep up, so the staff brought in a fan that really helped. Decent breakfast, good bar and bar food. Great central location. We would stay there again.

Clean and spacious room with lovely amenities. Great location with many shopping and dining options within walking distance. Breakfast was also great!

We enjoyed our stay but on reflection I feel that it was mean of them to OFFER an alternative room which had a different bed layout to the one I had booked and access to a room with tea, coffee etc ( which closed at 10pm ??) and then be asked to pay an extra €30. I was contacted after checking out to pay for extras which had been paid for at checkout. The staff were all very friendly and breakfast was good.

Room was beautiful. Breakfast was amazing. We could have stayed all day.

For a 5-Star hotel the experience was disapointing. Our room was supposed to have a Shower/Bathtub combination, but at check in, we were put in a room without a bath. When we went down to front desk and informed the staff that we had booked a room with both, they moved us to a different room with a tub and shower. That was good but added unnecessary time to the check in. There was only 1 bath mat in the room, despite the shower and bath being on oposite sides of the bathroom. There was old chewing gum under one of the bedside tables that fell down on my slippers in the morning, and the bathtub was chipped and had limescale on the tap. The hotel was OK, but not the 5star experience I expected.
