Summary: Great room decor and style, let down by cramped bathroom and very noisy air-conditioning...I honestly thought there was a motor cycle firing up outside when it rumbled into action...

Summary: The location of The Study at Yale is great, it’s right next to Yale University. Unfortunately, my experience with the staff was very disappointing. While I was waiting in line at the front desk, the staff member skipped over me and helped the next guest without acknowledging me. It made me feel ignored and was not the level of service I expected from a hotel of this caliber.
What was even more disappointing was how my concern was handled afterward. When I brought the incident to the manager’s attention, instead of listening to my experience and addressing my concern, he immediately defended the employee by repeatedly saying she was one of their best workers, even though the incident occurred under his supervision. Rather than acknowledging my experience or offering a sincere apology, it felt like my concern was dismissed.
A great location cannot make up for poor customer service. I hope management focuses on listening to guests’ feedback, taking responsibility for issues that occur under their supervision, and addressing concerns professionally instead of becoming defensive.
