The Woods Inn | Hotel in Inlet, New York

“Beautiful piece of property on the lake and I love the historic feel to it. So peaceful and relaxing and the amenities are fantastic. Very nice helpful staff. Would definitely stay here again.”

“Old hotel in need of major renovations. Dry rot on exteriors and signs of water damage interior. Two major stairways need to be climbed, first to the front desk and next to get to the rooms. There is a million dollar view of Fourth Lake but that's it. Staff of 2 and a manager were pleasant. They had buffet breakfast but put out the same food each of our 3 day stay so it was stale. Hotels.com says there is one room available but we were the only 2 occupied rooms in the whole place.”

“Old hotel in need of major renovations. Same food put out each morning of our 3 day stay was eventually stale. 1 Major outdoor and indoor staircase to access the front desk and rooms. Staff of 2 or 3 individuals were pleasant. Hotel.com says only one room available. We occupied 2 rooms in the entire hotel? Apparently they do have more guests on weekends but I wouldn't recommend it till they rehabbed the place.”

“Location is perfect!!! Building is vintage and charming. Rooms as okay, beds were small. We got the twin room. It was clean! Breakfast was lacking. But take your coffee outside and sit on the Adirondack chairs and look at that beautiful lake.”

“We enjoyed our stay, the room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. We ate a delicious dinner on the porch, service was very good. Our view was wonderful. The staff was very friendly. I really enjoyed the woodwork and old fashion furniture- perfect for a Adirondack stay. The only thing I would suggest, put hooks on the bathroom doors and perhaps more variety in your breakfast choices.”

“Booking on line makes it difficult to properly assess your stay. The questions you can’t or want to ask go unanswered and you’re left with surprises. No a/c and it was 90 and muggy, no real access to the lake and no pool and being on the 3rd floor (45 steps) made for a very uncomfortable night. I liked the 2 foreigner students that are the staff and enjoyed the location even though there was no tv in the room. Weather aside, I liked the place!!”

“The location really makes the property. Incredible lakefront on Forth Lake. It’s an older building so no refrigerator or microwave in your room limited air-conditioning. Fans were provided. The lake breeze really made it pleasant. I had dinner two nights on the porch. The food was fabulous.”
