The Tiny River House was PERFECT for my husband and me. A private location and on the river. It was such a lovely spot and close to the entrance of Sequoia National Park. Everything worked great. The two wall A/C units were perfect to cool the full tiny home. All appliances worked great. The home was clean and fresh. We highly recommend. And we will be back to stay here again!
I'll start with the positive. Beautiful spot and very close to shops and dining. About a 50 minute drive up to the main attractions in Squoia and 30 minutes from Visilia. Bed was very comfy and AC worked great! Now for the "could be better" part. The checkin process requires several additional steps through a seperate website from VRBO. Your license, a face scan, and an additonal credit card hold is required. I did not realize this was needed prior to receiving check in instructions and it was a bit frustrating while traveling with little service. Second, the house was not clean when we arrived. There was trash on the floor, dirty dishes, and laundry left in both washer and dryer. There was also mud in the shower. The house felt a bit "lived in". We messaged the company and someone came within about an hour and cleaned most of this very quickly. She was very nice. Later we noticed the microwave also had spilled food in it. We were not offered any sort of discount for the house not being properly prepared.
Such a cute little spot, perfect if you’re going to sequoia/kings canyon! Has literally everything you need and the communication with the property manager was great!
