Summary: The room was clean and the bed was comfortable but 2 of the 3 pillows we had were flat as pancakes and not comfortable. Why not 4 pillows for 2 people? There wasn't air conditioning which we knew about and figured we wouldn't need it mid-Sept. But we couldn't control the thermostat and the heat was on, which we did not need. By the next morning the thermostat read 82 degrees. A bit warm! Fortunately there was a portable fan we could use. The room itself is updated but the bathroom is not. Not a big deal but be prepared for a LOW toilet. The tile is retro, kind of cool. The sink stopper didn't work so water drained slowly. We always appreciate a mini refrigerator but wish there was a freezer included. We travel with freezer packs for a cooler and had no way to keep them frozen. Wish motel/hotel descriptions included whether or not their mini-frig included a freezer. Overall the experience wasn't too bad. It was for one night, was pet friendly and walkable to shops, restaurants and the wharf.

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. The breakfast offered lots of options and ready early. The coffeepot is always on which was a nice amenity.

Summary: We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights. Well, I would say it's more motel than hotel :). It's good for motel but it's to poor for hotel and for more than $300 per night.
