“Ski slopes are easy to reach via the bus that stops near by. The accommodation is spread over a number of blocks with one being a fair distance from the main reception. Not necessarily an issue in summer but dragging cases over icy snow in winter can be a challenge!!”

“I was pleasantly surprised to receive an upgrade to a large apartment with a spectacular view of the valley and the river. There’s an extensive network of paths easily accessible from the hotel. It is an easy walk into town and the train station. ”

“First of all Gailo during summer is a major turist trap, everything cost money and way too much and the service isn’t great either. Ustedalen Hotell Geilo was unfortunately in line with the rest of Geilo, firstly they hadn’t made our reservation correctly so we didn’t have a room, and it seemed only by luck that they could get us a room. Because we stayed in the apartments the sheets for our stay cost extra, using the pool ekstra, the breakfast buffet was below mediocre and cost extra, takeout from the restaurant not allowed even though it was described as an option in the brochure. Our recommendation is to just avoid going to Geilo and go somewhere else in this breathtaking country.”
