The WesterwaldSteig is close and offers well-developed hiking trails to Kroppacher Switzerland to the beautifully situated Cistercian monastery Marienstatt with herb garden, brewery and beer garden. Along the Nister lead idyllic paths and there is much to discover. The historic city of Hachenburg with its castle, market square, castle garden and museum can be reached in a few minutes. Also Bad Marienberg, about 10 km away, offers recreational opportunities in the wild, basalt and climbing park, as well as the Marienbad with sauna. The "Tertiary Industry Experience" Stöffel Park in Enspel with fossils is just a few miles from the house. The city of Montabaur with castle, ICE train station, connection to the A3 motorway and the new Fashion Outletcenter, can be reached in 20 minutes.
