“When booking the Inn I did not realize it was a motel not an inn it was over priced. The beds were terrible did not get much sleep.”

“Small town and friendly, if you're looking for clean and quaint this is the place. If you need to be entertained, then this is not the place for you. But I plan many of my trips going out of my way just to go here and recharge... my soul, not a car.”

“The room was clean, the staff were friendly and accommodating. The Motel claims that it has bicycles, scooter, and other recreational activities available. However, the bicycles are rusted and falling apart as they are kept outside in a saltwater environment. The motel claims that they offer breakfast, however, while they do offer coffee, the breakfast consists of a couple bagels bought from the store, bananas, apples, generic Walmart brand Nutri-Grain bars, and donuts. It is not actually a breakfast, more like store-bought items. They will tell you that the general store, next-door, offers egg and cheese sandwiches. However, these egg and cheese sandwiches are premade, wrapped in foil, have been sitting out and will need to be reheated. The seafood restaurant across the street has gone out of business so if you want dinner, you will have to contact some type of delivery service or drive 20 minutes to the nearest town. While the area is peaceful, quiet and quaint be prepared that there is no cell phone service and you will have to use the Wi-Fi offered by the motel, which is wonderful. Overall, for us, it was a good day.”

“A brief stop on our travels. We had a nice walk around town and a comfortable room. We left before the 8 am breakfast so can’t comment on that. ”

“It was a pleasure staying at the Watchapreague Inn. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the area, it’s right on the water, with a beautiful park with gazebo across the street, as well as a top rated seafood restaurant. The bed was stiff, and the staff actually brought me a foam mattress topper! My husband loved his stiff bed. Great little gift shop with a wide selection of t-shirts and gifts, free breakfast, very good coffee, free bicycles and kayaks too. I highly recommend this place! It’s not the fanciest or newest, but you can’t beat all the extras for the price. ”

“Everyone was friendly! After making the reservation online, I received a phone call from Jonathan confirming and thanking me for booking with them. This quaint inn is quiet, accommodating and perfect for my short stay in the area--even for a holiday weekend. I purchased an extension cord and it worked perfectly to blow dry and style my hair at the mirror. This inn was constructed at a time when multiple outlets were not necessary and the ocean breeze would style your hair anyway. ”

“This is place is a gem! Quiet, off of the beaten trail, & right on the water. Nothing fancy, but then are you on vacation just to stay in a hotel room - No! The bed was comfortable (pillow top mattress) and the people are wonderful! We stopped here on our way to the Outer Banks & extended our stay by 1 night because of hurricane damage to our ultimate destination.”

“TV did not work. Moved to another room, TV did not work there. Uncomfortable metal chairs. Had to pay for ice. Even a low priced motel provides ice. At the price we paid ice should have been provided. Adverised as an Inn but basically a strip motel.”
