“Walking distance to the supermarket, shops, the station, and pubs. Very convenient location.”

“Not the best, especially not for the price (£160).
Mouldy ceiling, curtains hanging off, fuse box in the room was humming constantly (and had "next service sticker - 2023" on it. No towels other than a hand towel - I didn't even realise until I was ready to get in the shower.
Poor breakfast (butter left out all night too).
Very meh. Would have been more than 2 stars if the cost was reasonable”

“The Inn is easy to find with ample parking. My concerns centred on strong, damp like smelly in my room. Curtains that couldn't be closed properly. With the main door not being locked at night, security was very poor. I was woken by a disturbance outside my door during the night it was very unsettling. All these issues might have been easier to raise with staff had they been approachable. It took the duration of the trip for the person at reception to smile and be friendly. Would definitely not use again. ”

“Room was extremely trashy looking, with the curtains hanging off the rods, bed was so close to wall with the curtains on it, just not a pleasant room. No maintenance until the next morning.”

“The Waverley Inn has easy walk ability to the museum and dining opportunities. We had fish and chips at the Mallard which were delicious. Parking was easily available.”

“Needed a quick overnight place to sleep. The room was nice but the sheets needed to be changed, there was a tick in my bed, and the trash hadn’t been emptied from the previous guest. The owners need to hire more people and pay them a decent wage to do the work needed. One full time employee and a couple of part time workers doesn’t cover the needs of the hotel. The poor young man was trying his best to meet the needs of all the guests but I could tell he was exhausted. ”

“This is a great wee place to stay if you are stopping off or looking for some cheap and quick. The staff were amazing and super helpful. And offer use of the kitchen if I wanted to make some food. Honestly amazing! Also offered to make up a wee bag for breakfast as I was leaving early! I managed to get something before I left. Only thing I’ll say, the room could do a with a little TLC, the shower doors don’t close properly, the door handle is loose and the curtains need fixed slightly, but saying this everything is functional, and usable.
As I say, it’s a grant wee handy place to stay, and friendly staff!
Hopefully will pop back sometime soon. ”

“I spent one night at the Waverley Inn in Dingwall, while heading back from a work trip.
PROS: friendly staff, clean and spacious room and bathroom, wifi works well, free parking available, excellent value for money, and there's the chance to use a microwave oven in the dinning-hall. Special mention for the microwave oven, I wish more hotels and guest houses offered that option!
Cons: on the day I was there, the tv (and tv remote) didn't work; but wifi worked well.
The only annoying thing was the overwhelming smell of air freshener in the room and bathroom. I had to keep the window open in my room for over an hour to get rid of the chemical smell. Once I changed the air, it was all good.”
