“The Yardarm is a lovely motel on Rt 1 in Searsport Maine. The sign stated it is 75 years young. Our room was comfortable though on the smaller side.
The only two things I wished for were an ice bucket for the room and hard boiled eggs served with breakfast. I am not into bread products at breakfast, yogurt was the one protein available. I still highly recommend this lovely local motel.”

“My room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Parking was very good. The motel was pet friendly and staff enjoyed hearing about my pet and meeting my little chihuahua mix. I always wanted to stay at the Yardarm and I'm very happy I did. I look forward to staying with them again in the future!”

“This is the most beautiful place to stay for a night, couple of days, or a week. My husband and I will be back as soon as we can. The landscaping is amazing, clean rooms, and bathroom..and best of all if you leave something by mistake, they make sure you get it back right away!!

“The main problem during our stay was the noise. The walls are extremely thin — we could hear everything, even the people in the next room using their microwave. We were placed between two rooms that seemed to be traveling together, and they partied and slammed their doors throughout the night. By 3 AM, we had to ask them to quiet down. I even have video of how loud it was.
It’s also evident that the hotel is aware of the noise issue, as there are white noise machines already placed in the rooms. Unfortunately, even with that, we barely slept. The hotel itself has potential, but room placement and noise control need serious attention.
