“Great location, beautiful room, communication was excellent but the best part was the shower. It was the most refreshing shower I’ve had for years, then to get out into the most luxurious towels felt like a real treat. The attention to deal really makes the difference. Thank you so much ”

“Excellent all round. Very good prices. Great central location also quiet though on main street. Parking free on road outside house or on supermarket car park or elsewhere in town. Easy check in with fob/security panel.Extremely clean modern room, very comfortable, very warm. Initially booked 2 nights and quickly accommodated by friendly owners Phil & Helen for a 3rd night. Will deffo return and 10/10 deserved.”

“Excellent place to stay. The room was clean & had everything we needed. Check-in was convenient & easy. Fresh coffee, milk & cafetiere was a nice touch. Great value for money. We stayed here as we were visiting Kielder Observatory. Lots of good places to eat in Haltwhistle. We had breakfast at Jethro's, a couple of minutes walk away, also excellent. Highly recommend this place & will return as there is so much to explore in the area ”

“no check in or check out required. convenient key code for entry. top floor room may be a problem for people with mobility issues. room was comfortable and a good size. bed was comfortable. the shower cold water adjustment did not work and the sink plug did not stay down.”

“The room furnishings and facilities were exactly as we needed (a couple); virtually new, very clean and welcoming - the only problem we had was that the mattress might be too new, as it was a little too firm for us, but that's a perennial problem for accommodation-providers that they can't win!. The radiator below the window was more than adequate to het the room. The shower was first-rate, and well-ventilated to remove steam efficiently. The range of free hot drinks was very good, and ideal on a cold February night when we stayed. The combination of black-out blinds and curtains was very effective in preventing light and much of the street noise - no-one can do much about the occasional "petrol head" who has decided to drill holes in the silencer on an exhaust. There was minimal noise within the building, and certainly nothing that disturbed us. The owners had thoughtfully provided a booklet explaining most of the FAQs that people might have in such an establishment/location, and that was most useful. It expanded on the clear and concise information that they had provided in their advisory emails in the run-up to our stay. Overall, we thought it was lovely. Thank you Phil & Helen, and we wish you success in this venture.”

“This is a lovely place. I had a spotlessly clean, large room (Room 5) with a nice view. Self check in was easy. The bed was super comfortable with nice linens, the bathroom spacious with a great shower. There were lots of little touches that made it special- a small fridge with fresh water and milk, ground coffee with a cafetiere, a little bag of sweets from the shop next door. You can park right outside overnight for free or for a few hours on weekdays. It has a great location in the centre of the village- restaurants, takeaways and shops are right outside. At night the hotel was incredibly quiet- I slept so well here! It's close to Hadrian's Wall and Vindolanda Roman town. Definitely a great find.”
