“The room had a great location looking out at Lake Huron. It was very clean and the beds were comfortable. We could see fireworks from the fourth floor balcony. There were only two drawers for clothes, a small area to hang clothes and the bathroom was small. We love the restaurant and the beach. Food was delicious. We stayed one night in July 2026 on our way back home.”

“We thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay at Breakers. Breakfasts were great, the bar very nice and friendly and dinners were good. The room was comfortable. The location was convenient for getting the Mackinac Island ferries and access to the Lake Superior area.”

“This is definitely a family place. It was very loud with kids running up and down hallways and screaming. Walls are very thin. You can hear every step the people above us took in their room. Not a good night’s sleep. Staff was very friendly in the hotel and restaurant. Nice chair setup along the beach.”

“This was our first time here and definitely will not be our last! The staff here is so friendly and welcoming. The resort is clean, cozy and the views did not disappoint. The pool and hot tub were a hit for the kids. The breakfast was excellent and the cafe has everything from wood fired pizza to seafood and steaks. I would definitely recommend 😉”

“The room was clean but dated. It was the most expensive hotel on our trip from Chicago around the UP and back to Chicago. It was convenient to Mackinac but slightly disappointing after a day on the island.”

“The staff at Concierge, especially Hope, were excellent. I loved the little gift shop by Concierge which sold smaller pieces of Mackinac fudge as well as lilac soap. Breakfast was a buffet with an ocean view. The room was pretty and bright but the bathroom fixtures need to be changed. They have the old 70s style teardrop plastic knobs for the sink and shower which can get stuck and hard to move. The toilet and tub were inside a door with a sink outside which made it difficult for shaving since the steam didn't stay inside. The TV in the room we were in would not turn off - the staff came up and tried to fix it. I think it was a problem with the remote not communicating with the TV so we just ended up unplugging it. The location is a bit further set back from the road so there is less street noise which was excellent because we were here during the Classic Car Show weekend.”

“Stopped for the night on route to Canada and this report was a welcomed surprise. Best place to stay in the UP or lower peninsula upper region. They had live music, many rooms overlooking the lake, free breakfast and a restaurant/bar on the beach. I felt like I was in California is or Florida on a beach vacation!! Food was also phenomenal. Will definitely visit again!”

“The room was nice, but the patio door did not lock-neither the screen door nor the glass one. Also, the side door to enter the building was not locked so anyone could've gotten in. The room just needed some updates, especially the shower head, and the A/C unit was barely pumping air out. I did like the 24 hour access to the beach. The restaurant was not that busy but we still had to wait 1.5 hours to eat. They apologized but never issued any sort of refund--this was even after their first mess up of not realizing they had seated us for 25 minutes. The ambiance was nice though, but we got served 25 minutes before they closed at 10pm and we got there at 8pm, so yes a little frustrating for them not to at least throw a free doughnut on there. I just expected the room to be nicer--showers with glass doors and locking doors would be great.”

“Bathroom could have been cleaned better. Stains on shower curtains and the shower head and shower handle definitely need to be cleaned like stained body wash all over.”
