Great location wonderful staff

Very welcoming staff; chef made steak pies especially for us as we didn't want the vegetarian or curry pies he was making. Lovely big beeŕ garden with terrific views. Only downside is the extremely tight entrance to the car park.

An outstanding stay for a group of 7 golfers playing at the nearby Monmouthshire golf course. The hotel is located centrally in the beautiful village of Crickhowell. The staff were amongst the best I have had dealings with, going out of their way to help. Due to an early tee time competition they came in half an hour early to serve us breakfast. The rooms were plush, clean and well maintained. I would definitely stay here again.

Spent two nights at the Dragon Inn, a base to visit the Hay book festival. In fairness the accommodation was more than acceptable, and comfortable. What was very disappointing was the staff attitude. A young team with no leadership, demonstrated poor customer service. The waitress chewing gum taking the order was most unwelcome. Food was over cooked and disappointing

The garden is a mature feature of this Inn, and I have had many a meal and drink there over the years after warning. The food is high quality, the location is unpretentious and welcoming

Stay was excellent. Tight entrance to car park was a challenge, however managed to it fine. Thanks to all for a great time.

Seems new owners have taken over since we last stayed. Some good changes, some bad. Room we stayed in seemed to have a make over which was good, breakfast disappointed with free toast and cereal but cooked breakfast now charged. The red haired girl that ran the restaurant seems to have gone and she was a real plus at this b and b. But all the best with the venture to the new owners.

Had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Dragon Inn, the location was great and the room was comfortable and clean. Special shout out to the staff, especially Connor, who went above and beyond to help with a booking issue

Amazing breakfast and great staff in a beautiful small town. Great overall value but having stayed more than once I’d recommend the room upgrade. Other pubs walkable from the Dragon if you choose including one that shows sports just up the road. Food, drink and the setting at the Dragon are wonderfully welcoming and comfortable on a cold night and of course, there’s a beer garden for the summer.

Parking in the hotel car park required skill to get in and out of a narrow and tricky access but I’m sure other parking in the town was available.
