Amazing staff but room was very hot

The staff were helpful and went out of their way to adapt menu for food allergies and willing to adapt breakfast menu as hot items cooked to order. Although an old building the room was modern and clean, the character features remained in communal areas, although the outside in places needed some tlc after the winter weather. Spa area dated but clean and functional.

Enjoyed our stay at the manor hotel - staff were very nice and welcoming, room was great with a Mountain View- breakfast was superb- great facilities - gym , small swimming pool , hot tub , steam and sauna room - would stay here again .

Only disappointed that Room 16 have no substitute on television cos we’re deaf and also swimming pool was closed. Excellent breakfast and dinner.

lovely stay

The hotel is quiet with extensive areas for guests. The Leisure suite is excellent with sauna, steam room and a spacious, well equipped gym. Breakfast has lots of choice although the options have definitely been reduced since we were last there 6-8 years ago. Parking is plentiful and the views across the valley are beautiful. The hotel is a substantial building and in places it's becoming a bit tired. However, we slept extremely well without any noise or disturbance. The limited staff are extremely hard working and deserve praise for multi-tasking. It's an easy walk into town

The staff were lovely, easy to talk to and welcoming. Clean comfortable spacious room. Lovely historic building with guest information book in the room explaining the area and its history. Marvelous breakfast choices. If something needed changing the staff responded perfectly. Didn't have time to use the gym/pool but other guests seemed happy. Look forward to the opportunity to return.

Overall it was ok and a pleasant experience. However, the pool was ice cold and I had only booked that place because of the swimming pool. The 'spa' facilities are quite poor and run-down. The hotel itself was decorated very well for Christmas and it was warm and welcoming. Hannah deserves a special mention for being so efficient.

Room was huge, very well maintained and spotlessly clean. Staff were all friendly & helpfull, making our stay very pleasant. Wifi didn't work but didn't affect us and only tiny criticism would be a lack of hooks/rails in the lovely bathroom, as there was nowhere to hang wet towels.

Dated, fusty, sticky surfaces in room and at breakfast, which was poor and verging on unhygienic. Spa area also looked forlorn and grimy. Not worth the price paid.
