Four Seasons Motel | Hotel in Catskill, New York

“Four Seasons, Catskill, is listed as a 2-star motel, so we expected an "okay" facility, but were very pleasantly surprised by the quality. The rooms were spacious, with room for 2 full-beds, a chest-high freezer/fridge, a microwave and coffeemaker, plus mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery. Our room had a desk/chair, plus 2 sitting chairs 3 chairs; our friends' room had a round breakfast table with 3 dining chairs (I think). Rooms have nice mirrors and artwork/decorations. The small bathroom has a shower with excellent water pressure - but the hot and cold are controlled separately, be careful to turn both off simultaneously so you don't burn or freeze! We used the pool on the afternoon we arrived. Water temperature was comfortable on a hot day. Not sure if the pool is heated. A few cracks or uneven spots on the pool deck. Staff were very accommodating. They don't answer the phone around the clock, but we left a message requesting more bath towels be delivered while we were out, and we came back to well-made beds and 4 fresh fluffy towels. The room was cleaned and beds made daily - even the big name hotels don't do that! Swingset and playground equipment onsite, too! While it isn't a luxury facility, it does a great job of meeting a traveler's need for cleanliness, service, comfort, and good features. Highly recommend!”

“The Four Seasons Motel reminds me of my childhood when we would travel, and Motels were the place to stay. The room was very clean, so clean that you can smell the chemicals until you open the windows. Check-in was easy, but you need to contact the property 24 hours ahead of time to schedule room key pick up. I didn't use the pool, but it looked very well maintained and really clean. It's a great place to lay your head down for the night or weekend if you are traveling to the area. It's vintage!”

“It was a joy to be there for it had everything including real cups and saucers with spoons! No paper cups, which I appreciated. Plus live bamboo in the room and more than adequate bathroom products including new tooth brushes. Real art and prints on the wall that gave it a very Asian- European flair. Lovely”

“My son and I have been coming to the Four Seasons for the past 10 years and the place has never been better. The building and room looked fresh and painted. Inside the room seemed to have newer beds and it was very clean inside. The floor is wood laminate and was freshly mopped every day when they made up the room. It’s not fancy like the chains along the thruway, but it’s a good, clean, comfortable room in an old school Catskill roadside motel, that is run by good people. To my son and I, staying here is part of the nostalgic charm of a vacation in the Catskills. ”
