The staffs are amazing! Very friendly and warm to guests. We stayed there for the Death Ride cycling event and they opened up the breakfast 4AM for us. Even the day after, they offer so much extra breakfast to ensure we stay in good shape.

I was skeptical that a low-priced two-star hotel would meet my standards, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's a great value with friendly management. I wish they had better signage because I drove past it the first time and cellular internet was sparce, but that's the worst thing I can say. Great comfortable rooms!

Not a good continental breakfast. No juice, no fruit and powdered creamer for the coffee.

Great choice for us. Good location near Markleeville and surrounding area. Easy to find. Friendly proprietor. The room was comfortable. A couple of small things to mention: (1) The lamp between the beds would not turn on or off. One had to unplug it. (2) One of plugs in the outlet on the inside of the wall facing parking lot was dead. If we are luckly enough to reutrn to Markeeville, I will certainly prioritize staying there.

This is a cute little hotel that appears to have been renovated recently. The rooms have small vintage style refrigerator and microwave, nice, soft bedding and a cute wooden table and bed. It felt more like staying in a cabin than a hotel. The man running the front office was very helpful and accommodating. I would definitely come back.

Horrible breakfast, nothing but sweets. Not even milk or coffee creamer for coffee. Definitely has gone down hill since our last stay a year ago.

We had a really delightful stay. The owners recently updated the place with great care and taste. Place was very clean. Owners were very friendly. Setting is picturesque. Would definitely stay again.

The inn was super cute, clean, and the location is great to go skiing at Kirkwood! The owners are adorable, very friendly. The only think I wish is was better is communication. It’s pretty hard to contact them and maybe they could do better about check in instructions. We were arriving late (after check in hours) in Friday and instructions said to contact the inn. I was calling the inn every day from that previous Monday to let them know, left several messages with call back number, emailed them several times… and I never received an answer. We were afraid we were going to be stuck in the cold outside without a place to sleep because they were not confirming that they received the message. Luckily, the day of the trip they finally picked up the phone at 4pm. Was pretty stressful situation but ended up working out…

Clean rooms. Staff was very welcoming! The owners even brought food from a local Chinese restaurant to share. Price was great for a last minute ski weekend in Kirkwood
